How To Handle The Topic Of Jesus In Homeschooling

By Ryan Sanders

Religion is slowly being removed from the school curriculum. It becomes confusing when your children have to live with derogatory terms being thrown around regarding creationism. This is why teaching Jesus in homeschooling is the only option available to parents. It gives you a chance to impart positive and Christian based values to the kid while at the same time avoiding the confusion that comes from mixed schooling.

Schooling the children at home comes with numerous advantages. You are in full control of what the child learns and the interactions he has. You have a chance to understand his mannerisms and formation meaning that you will never be shocked by what comes out of your child. Though the curriculum is still controlled, you determine what happens to your children over most of the time.

Learning under the watch of a parent and family members is fun. When the idea that learning is fun is implanted in the mind of a young one, the thirst to learn more grows. After all, the little chap will not have to endure cold morning, hectic bus rides and the cruelty of schooling, among other inconveniences of public schooling. This will instill a positive learning attitude in the child enabling him to pursue education further in future. His prospects in life will be raised significantly.

Since family members will be around the child during schooling, their bond grows stronger. How else can you inculcate the element of family and values in a child apart from spending as much time with her as possible? This is the opportunity given by homeschooling. The child grows up knowing that the family is the source of all virtues and will forever value it.

Governments and institutions determine content and schedules in public schooling. This leaves the child tied to a routine that is not pleasant at all and does not reflect changing moods, seasons and abilities. You have a chance to change this by schooling your children at home. How else will you nurture their artistic, music, athletics, and other talents? You will help them avoid unhealthy competition that ruins their confidence.

There are numerous dangers larking in school from violence to drugs, bullying and negative peer influence. It is worse with the withdrawal of Christianity. Schooling at home is a chance to shield the child from these vices. You go beyond teaching the young one into demonstrating.

The bible teaches more about character than what people display in public. There is no better way to inculcate character and good behavior than teaching the child from home. The kid has no chance to copy wrong examples from other children or grown ups like teachers and other adults in school.

Faith and belief play a critical role in shaping the character and determining the future of any child. The best way to instill the right values in a child is to take control of the learning process. There is no better way to do that than to school the kid from home. You are sure of what the child is learning and thus will not be shocked by hypocritical behaviors.
